Tuolumne County Aquatic Masters, TCAM, is one of the largest adult swimming programs in the United States.  The program is a registered team in both United States Masters Swimming, USMS, and the Pacific Masters in California. The group swims at the Sonora Sports and Fitness Center in Sonora, California.

The program’s primary goal is to encourage participants to swim for life.  Workouts are held six days of the week with an additional lap swim on the weekend.  The workouts are structured with a mixture of conditioning, endurance training and stroke instruction in all four of the competitive swim strokes.

The TCAM program swims year round in the competition pool which is adjacent to the Athletic Center at Sonora Sport and Fitness.

  • The certified completion pool, is ten lanes measuring 25 yards by 25 meters
  • The pool is heated
  • Over 30 coached workouts each week

With registration in the United States Masters Swimming, USMS, TCAM team members are covered by the USMS insurance at practices, and at certified USMS meets, open water swim and fitness events.  All USMS members receive SWIMMER magazine.  Members have access to special offers from sponsors, informative swimming articles, training tips and social resources on the USMS website.
